What are the Lowestoft Marine Frequencies?
If you want to go out on the water or want to know who to contact in an emergency it helps to know the Lowestoft Marine Frequencies
If you have a radio scanner it helps to be aware of the different radio frequencies when on the water. There are various tables you can find with a list of frequencies online but below are the most relevant ones-
Channel 0 (Coastguard, Mobiles, Lifeboats and Helicopter only- Rescue and exercise comms)
Channel 12 (Yarmouth Port Operations and most opening Broads bridges.)
Channel 14 (Lowestoft Port Ops. and Mutford Lock/Bridge)
Channel 16 (Distress, Urgency, Calling, (Making initial contact) and
by Coastguard to announce weather forecasts etc)
