Why Not visit the Heritage Workshop Centre in Lowestoft?At the Heritage Workshop Centre in Lowestoft Archaeological finds from school site dig include a rock from the Jurassic era. Workshops will be provided on historical elements of the town of Lowestoft. This includes archives of newspapers back to the 1870s. There are also exhibitions of photographs and research material of Lowestoft. There are also talks and walks as well as a twelve by 9ft model of Lowestoft's former beach village, not to mention publications on the local area for sale. A very interesting day out in Lowestoft.
Lowestoft Heritage Workshop Centre Has Grown Again!
Now at the Lowestoft Heritage Workshop Centre is where you can see the interactive Model of Lowestoft's lost Village for £2.00 per person. They take school groups and private bookings tailored around poeples needs, simply e-mail them or call 01502 581601 to book visits.
Opening times Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, 9am to 4pm.
Lowestoft Heritage Shop Information
The Lowestoft Heritage Shop, 71 High Street Lowestoft was recently opened and has proved to be very popular. The Heritage Centre is a self-funding charity with the shop helping to support it selling stock kindly donated by very helpful and generous people. Lowestoft Heritage try to remain under the umbrella of ‘Heritage’, selling mainly secondhand books, pictures, knick-knacks, documentary videos and lots lots more, with the most popular being Old Lowestoft and anything about the two World Wars. The shop is open four days a week and managed by the famous Lesley Bunn, who has been involved with the Lowestoft Heritage Centre for a number of years and has produced some local books of her own which are available in the shop & from our online store. In-between searving customers her time is spent making book marks, fridge magnets and keyrings with local pictures and also restoring photographs.
The Lowestoft Heritage shop is open Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from 10 am to 4 pm all year round!
