Posted on: 20/03/2009 17:59:22 The wife and I went to a performance at the Seagull Theatre last week and we had a super time. I'm so glad its back up and running, we'll be coming down at least once a month. Well happy. Author: Suzzie / Corton
Posted on: 20/03/2009 17:58:14 I'm glad that after all the hard work by Love Lowestoft and all the other media outlets [not to mention all the volunteers] to help save the Seagull Theatre, it has been reborn and is proving a real gem for the community again. Some quality perfomaces are being brought in at an ever increasing rate. Best Theatre in town. Author: Unknown / Lowestoft

Posted on: 21/09/2006 15:33:21 Lowestoft has been criticised in the past for being boring. I have defended the town from some of these so called sophisticates for many years. The recent TV experience where the TV company chose to film some old people on a Sunday evening- representing Lowestoft night life, confirmed the prejudices of the metropolitan snobs. Well now the Town appears to be denuding itself of one the most exciting innovative places in East Anglia. A place which would make the most rabid trendy city arts junky sit up respectfully. Why shoot yourself in the foot Suffolk County Council? Author: steve harrison / London
Posted on: 20/09/2006 15:55:39 It seems ridiculous that Suffolk County Council wont fund the Seagull Theatre. How many towns have got such an original and community minded facility? Very few is my experience. I think whatever it takes to change the minds of the councillors should be done. No stone left unturned. If Lowestoft wishes to show itself to be a town that does not value the performing arts then it should just lie back and allow the outside world to throw insults at it. Most recently on television Lowestoft was selected by a TV compamy to represent the lumpen English town where nothing ever happens. The seagull theatre is a cool place. Lowestoft needs to keep its cool and Im not talking about the east wind! Author: steve harrison / London

Posted on: 20/09/2006 11:12:47 The local council are being very short sighted in not supporting the Seagull Theatre. The theatre has supported the local community for many years. What is a local council for if not for maintaining unique places such as the Seagull? Author: Anonymous / Unknown

Posted on: 21/08/2006 13:16:20 So sorry to here that Suffolk County Council will not suport the Seagull Theatre any longer. I have personally had so many great times at this historic theatre. Can i just say thank you to everybody who has contributed to running of the Seagull, it shall be sorely missed. Author: Peter / Halesworth
