Lowestoft is a great place to walk your dog!
Lowestoft is most well known for its beach- during the off peak times this is a great place to give your dog some much needed exercise. The good thing about a walk along the coast is that it is relatively simple- you walk along the beach and back again.
The difficulty is that during the May to September time you can’t walk your dog in that area. Fortunately there are other options. Normanston Park is particularly good as it gives your dog plenty of space (and if you have kids you can give them time on the playground while you make sure your dog gets the run out it needs!)
Another good example is nearby Gunton Woods- with a number of paths and a pond there are plenty of areas to explore. Nicholas Everitt Park in nearby Oulton Broad also provides the river and a wide expanse of natural environments for your dog to explore.
In short there are plenty of places for your dog to roam around in Lowestoft and you don’t necessarily need to be restricted by seasonal restrictions!
