Enjoy Lowestoft’s Fantastic Public Parks

Visit the Charming Nicholas Everitt Park

Lowestoft is famous for its sandy Blue Flag beaches and proximity to the Broads, but in addition to these wonderful natural features, there are some amazing parks and gardens to enjoy.

If you’re looking for a park in Lowestoft where you can enjoy some sports and leisure activities, then make for the the Normanston Park Sports Ground. As you might expect from the name this provides a number of great sporting facilities such as a cricket ground, a football pitch and a tennis court (available on a pay as you play basis). However, it’s not just team sports available. The area is large enough for a nature ramble, so if you want to take your family out, or you’re looking for a new place to walk your dog, make sure you check it out.

As well as Normanston park, there is Pakefield Green, where you can look out over the clifftops at the swelling North Sea. Head to Oulton Broad to enjoy the traditional British park experience at Nicholas Everitt Park, where you will find a Victorian bandstand, miniature arcade and lots of green space for kids or dogs to run around in.
