Description:
The East Anglian Dragon Boat Festival will take place on Sunday 9th May 2010 at Nicholas Everitt Park, Oulton Broad, in Lowestoft.
Teams of up to 11 people are invited to take part in a day of spectacular dragon boat racing in aid of East Anglia's Children's Hospices (EACH). All the dragon boats and racing equipment are provided with no previous experience is required- just plenty of team spirit!
On the day over 50 teams, representing companies and organisations from throughout East Anglia, are expected to battle it out in the 30' Chinese dragon boats over a 200m race course watched by thousands of spectators. There will be plenty of activities on the bankside to entertain teams and spectators including Chinese lion dancing, funfair, street entertainers, children's activities, bar and catering.
